Wakebrite was founded by Dr. Hisham Alshaer, a medical doctor and a biomedical engineer, based in Toronto, Canada, he has been involved in developing intelligent diagnostic medical instrumentation from for sleep apnea and snoring, from inception to commercialization. His invented device for home diagnosis of sleep apnea was one of the first to be selected by a government sponsored program (MaRS EXCITE), which enables the best health technologies to get to market faster.
Hisham has authored over 50 research articles published in scholarly journals on sleep apnea, snoring, medical devices, and heart physiology. He has been invited to lecture on his journey in many countries such as Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, and Switzerland.
